GO Launcher Dev Team releases ‘Next Launcher’ with a price tag that must be high on drugs

Hey, old school Android users, I have a question for you. Remember GO Launcher? It was one of Android’s most popular homescreen replacement apps before the release of Ice Cream Sandwich, so there’s a good probability the answer to that question is yes. Back then, I was on the ADW Launcher bandwagon, but I can’t say I never tried GO Launcher, nor can I deny that it was a solid option for those looking to customize the look and feel of their smartphone homescreen. Unfortunately, the app went pretty much obsolete after Android 4.0 launched and other more viable options came along. While we hadn’t heard much from the GO Launcher Dev Team, today we just caught wind that they’re back in action with a new release, which we’d love nothing more than to download and run through the mud, but with the insanely high price tag “Next Launcher” brings along with it, we’re going to go ahead and file this one away without even giving it a chance. However, for those of you with bukoos of cash to throw around and who don’t mind spending $16 on a launcher, you might want to give this one a try. Next Launcher features all the functionality we’re used to seeing in a similar app. It has Live Wallpaper functionality, multi-selecting of icons, beautiful transitions, stereoscopic screen preview, rotatable dock, and exclusive 3D widgets. Yep. It looks pretty darn smooth, but let’s face it — times are tight now, and I just can’t see myself shelling out that kind of dough for a launcher at this time. Perhaps that’s just me, or maybe you all feel the same. This cowboy will be sticking with Apex Launcher until the GO Launcher Dev Team comes down from that crack-induced high they’re on and drop that price by about 75%.
